Valley Fair Announces Livestock Deadlines
The Tulelake Butte Valley Fair has announced the deadlines
for junior exhibitors to pre-weigh their market animals for
proof of ownership and rate of gain purposes. Ownership
requirements for Market Beef is 120 days prior to the fair,
Market Swine, Lamb and Goat ownership requirements are 60
days prior to the fair.
Tagging and pre weigh-in for Market Steers eligible for the
show and sale will be held on May 4th between the hours of 5
to 6 p.m. in Dorris at the Porterfield Ranch and in Tulelake
at the fairgrounds. The last weigh-in date will be May 6th
between the hours of 6 to 7 p.m. at the Tulelake-Butte
Valley Fairgrounds only.
The Market Lamb and Market Goat pre weigh-in dates are
scheduled for July 1st between the hours of 6 to 8 p.m. in
Dorris at the high school and at the fairgrounds in Tulelake.
The last weigh-in day is scheduled for July 5th between the
hours of 9 to 10 a.m. in Dorris at the High School and at
the fairgrounds in Tulelake.
There will not be a swine pre-weigh in scheduled due to
health concerns. All swine exhibitors must contact the fair
office to obtain an ear tag for each entry. All exhibitors
must have a picture with the assigned ear tag in the pig’s
ear and completed entry forms and fees paid and turned in to
the fair office no later than July 5th, by 10 a.m.
