Fair Logo &
Theme Selected - Where the road ends and the fun begins.
The Tulelake Butte Valley Fair has selected the 2008 logo
and theme for this year’s fair. “Where the Road Ends and the
Fun Begins” will be this year’s theme of the September 4-7
Tulelake-Butte Valley Fair! The theme was submitted by Terry
Harris of Tulelake. The theme will provide for creative
displays throughout the fairgrounds and during the parade.
As the new year of 2008 begins, so does the planning for the
57th Annual Tulelake-Butte Valley Fair. The fair began as a
Rotary Junior Livestock Show held on the grounds of the
present Tulelake Elementary School 57 years ago and has
grown into one of the finest small county fairs on the West
Coast. The Tulelake Butte Valley Fair has developed many
great traditions and it is the goal of the fair to continue
to preserve and build upon that rich heritage. The fair’s
focus continues to be to serve the local and surrounding
communities of Tulelake and Butte Valley, just as it was 57
years ago. More than ever, it is the fair’s goal to provide
the people of the local and surrounding communities an
enjoyable, welcoming and family oriented atmosphere
throughout the entire year while visiting the fairgrounds
and museum.
The 2008 fair will again offer many of the traditional
events that the public has come to know and love as well as
several new on-grounds entertainment that are sure to be
crowd pleasers. Back by popular demand, the Cowboy
Extravaganza Rodeo will have the cowboys and cowgirls
dusting off their wranglers on Friday night and country
music star, Chris Cagle will raise the volume on Saturday
night. The All Alaskan Racing Pigs will again entertain the
whole family throughout the week and the front page grabbing
Humphrey’s Barnyard will join us for a second year in a row
as well as the Fables of the West Cowboys. Ofcourse, what
would a fair be without new and exciting entertainment. This
year’s debut entertainers will include Chaz Marquette, a
juggling comedian, Lanky the Clown and a mechanical bull for
those who dream of a thrill ride. More details of the fair’s
scheduling for the entire 4-day event will soon be announced
and will be posted on the fair’s website: www.tbvfair.com. |
